This Week on WETA UK: February 24-March 2

This week (and every week) tune into WETA UK for the best of British television. Whether you're a DC area resident, visiting the area from out of town, a British television expert or just a casual watcher, WETA UK has everything any viewer needs to escape to England for a little while.

Monday at 8pm, enjoy the Pie in the Sky episode “Sky Return Match” where Henry has to solve a series of thefts but gets unexpected and suspicious help from a private security firm.

Tuesday at 9pm, catch the last two episodes of the new season of Doc Martin. In episode 7 of  season 6, “Listen to Mother”, Ruth argues with Margaret for her lack of motherly behavior in Martin’s life. A potentially fatal accident puts someone in the hospital and a major announcement makes things even more dramatic. Then in episode 8 of season 6, “Departure”, someone goes on a trip causing much grief for Martin and he decides to confront his mother. The information Martin finds out about Louisa is critical and leads to one of the most exciting season finales in Doc Martin history.

Wednesday at 9pm, watch the Downton Abbey season 4 finale. The Crawleys are in London, where Rose's coming out ball is to be staged at the stately Grantham House. In other events, Cora's mother visits and the family finds itself in the midst of a potential scandal.

Thursday at 11pm, see a new episode of Hebburn. In “Stairway to Hebburn”, Pauline quits her job to sell cupcakes while Vicki accompanies Gervaise to recording studio. Tension between Gervaise and Lindsay comes to a limit exploding as they reveal their true feelings. Sarah gets a surprise that would change her life forever.

Friday at 6:30pm, catch Rumpole of the Bailey“Rumpole and the Course of True Love”. Uncontrollable bed-hopping ruins the chances of Guthrie Featherstone QC MP becoming a judge and Rumpole's client's career as a teacher.

Saturday at 11pm, tune in for the documentary Wild Australasia“Southern Seas” Mermaids and dragons glide through the clear blue water, bizarre fish ‘walk’ along the bottom and on tropical beaches crabs and seagulls have a tug-of-war for food. Even the sea lions here are weird. “Southern Seas” journeys around the dramatic coasts of Australia and New Zealand revealing the unique wildlife in these waters.

Sunday at 10pm, watch the last episode of To Play The King, the sequel to the original House of Cards series. The King drives the need to invest more in housing and social services but the Prime Minister reminds the King to stay out of politics. Party Chairman Tim Stamper is upset that his old friend Urquhart won't promise him a senior Cabinet post if they win the election which begins a vengeful plot. Urquhart must deal with Stamper and Sarah, both of whom have the evidence to ruin him.
